I was chatting with Jean Francois Larente from Sitecore Demo Team in August 2018 through Slack about my contribution to Habitat Home Content demo (recently renamed to Habitat Home Platform) and suddenly he asked whether I am going to Sitecore Symposium this year. I replied that unfortunately not. He responded that in that case his Demo team will give me free ticket for my contribution to Habitat Home project and #habitathome Slack channel where I helped couple of times answering questions and also because of my activity and presence in Sitecore community this year (blog posts, StackExchange, Slack). I was really flattered by this offer and acknowledgement and arrange things with my company quickly. Flights and hotel bookings were made at no time 🙂
This was my third Symposium. First one was in 2014 in Barcelona and second last year in Last Vegas.
Wondering were the next one will be as Sitecore did not announced it at the end like it used to. Let’s see…
In these series of blog posts I will write summary and reflections of sessions and events I have attended each day and also about all great and inspiring meetings I had during this year’s Symposium.
Blog Series:
- Sitecore Symposium 2018 – Day 0-1 Summary
- Sitecore Symposium 2018 – Day 2 Summary
- Sitecore Symposium 2018 – Day 3 Summary
I want to thanks again Jean Francois Larente and Scott Mulligan from Sitecore Demo Team for giving me free ticket to Sitecore Symposium! I would also like to thank my company Accenture to cover all the other costs.
I encourage all of you to contribute and be active in Sitecore Community either in Sitecore Community Forums, Sitecore StackExchange, Sitecore Slack, your blog or attend and present on local or international Sitecore User Groups. Do anything what you like and maybe next year you will be also recognized and given free ticket to Sitecore Symposium!
Cheers!
