As I have already written down in one of my blog posts last year, Sitecore 10.4.1 is packed with lots of new features and it is supporting new version of Solr and encrypted communication with SQL Server to name few of them.
I was lucky enough last year to be part of team that upgraded 13 solutions from Sitecore 9.3 to this latest Sitecore 10.4.1 version.
We had to upgrade all of these solutions as soon as possible as Sitecore Extended Support for Sitecore 9.3 was near… 31st December 2025 to be precise and it was already August 2025 when we have started…
These series of blog posts will show you the approach we took and also some of culprits we have experienced during this journey. It will give you some hints and also show you what you should be aware of and what is written “in between lines” of release notesππ«.
